Boris Johnson is in trouble with the rapid resignation wave
A huge chain of resignations from critical positions in the UK government shook the country yesterday. Chancellor Rishi Sunak resigned by saying that the United Kingdom government should be run ‘properly, competently and seriously’ and Health Secretary Sajid Javid also quit just after the Sunak’s resignation.
Javid warned the leadership was not acting in the national interest, while Sunak said the public expected government to be conducted "properly, competently and seriously". Opposition party leadaers urged cabinet ministers to join the pair and resign, and Labor leader Starmer said he was ready for a snap general election.
Resignations continued and exceeded 45, causing Boris Johnson to have hard times and BoJo’s nightmare still continues today. While we are waiting for No.10’s move after these huge shake-off for him, you can find the current list of people resigned below:
